Dear all,

Once again, I want to thank Qihui, Weiling, Jingyi, Joo Yoon, ZuXian, Peng Ker and everybody else for preparing the lovely farewell gifts. I am really touched by you all. Thanks Qihui for the lovely letter and the very colourful envelope. It is so well drawn! I love it! You must develop that artistic talent of yours! The booklet of poems is fantastic too! You all are so poetic and creative! I am so impressed by the poems, and the sheer number of it as well! Thank you!!!

I have received so much love from you all and I will miss you all so much! All of you have left a footprint in my heart. I am sure our paths will cross again!

Love
Mrs Lim

Hives is gone! Hurray

Looking better already... No more patchy look. Hurray!!! Posted by Picasa

Ryan has recovered!

Finally, the hives have just gone as mysteriously as they came, after 4 full days of torture for me. hmm... at least now Ryan is free from red patches and back to normal. It pains me to see him flipping all over the bed and scratching himself due to the unbearable itch. I am not going to let him try seafood (other than fish) until he is much much older.

Now that he is better, he is hyperactive! I think there is some truth in the formula SUGAR = EXCESS ENERGY for children. Some doctors claimed that letting your child consume too many sweets may actually cause them to be hyperactive. Why do I say so? Ryan was prescribed a very very bitter medication for his hives. In order to force him to eat, we mixed the medicine with some honey, so that it is easier for him to swallow. So twice a day, he received his medication and that extra dose of honey. I noticed that he was awake during his usually napping hours and he kept on walking in his own cot and refused to let us carry him. He just walked and walked around the house all day long. He moves like a fish out of water when we try to carry him in my arms. I could hardly sit down to read my book or do anything the whole day. Now that he is asleep I finally have some time for myself. :-)

A new song for Ryan:
Hives hives go away
Pls dun ever come again
Hives hives go away
Pls dun ever come again

Saying Goodbyes is difficult...

Dear 5A & 5B,

First of all, let me apologise for not being able to spend my last 2 hrs with you all today. I really wanted to but I had to attend to my son who was having hives and fever. I was worried sick for him and hence decided to stay at home to take care of him.

Thank you all for the fun-filled farewell party yesterday. It will be etched firmly in my memories for many years down the road, even as I leave the teaching profession. I remember trying to hold back my tears during the slideshow but I was unable to and ended up crying ...sob sob... it was very touching. Thanks for making it for me. You (creators of the slideshow) really know how to make pple cry!

Looking back, we have spent many hours staring at numbers and challenging ourselves intellectually...haha... to be exact, 22 x 40 = 880 hrs or even more. Time really flies and now we only have memories of these moments. Lesson learnt, always cherish the present, as it may be gone before you know it. Now as I look back, I really enjoyed those days of teaching you. You all are a wonderful bunch and I really feel lucky. No heartaches but lots of satisfaction when I see you all do well.

Hope that we can keep in touch in the future and we can say hi when we bump into each other at Eastpoint. :-) My email address is janiceching@yahoo.com.sg

I am posting the links to the album and some of our field trips which you can visit.

cheers
